Praktik string system

Praktik cord mechanism for Roman blinds.

The Praktik cord system is the simplest of the Roman blind systems. It is made on the basis of a square PVC rail to which cord guides and cord locking mechanism are screwed.

In this system, in order to stop the roller blind at a given height, you need to pass (pull) the cord outside the blind. To lower the roller blind, the cord is pulled inside the blind.

Thanks to the velcro attached to the bar, you can easily attach the fabric to the bar using the soft velcro provided. This makes it easy to detach the fabric, e.g. for washing.

The advantage of this system is the low price and ease of use, while the disadvantage is the limited width ( max 180cm ).

The mechanism consists of:

• PVC rail with hard Velcro armed with a locking mechanism and cord guiding grommets

• soft Velcro

• rope for pulling up the roller blind (at the height of 300 cm)

• wooden cord weight

• end pieces

• transparent fabric weight

• set of through hoops - option of your choice

• transparent whalebone - optional (on request we can replace transparent whalebone with fibreglass whalebone)

• mounting brackets / choice:

- metal bracket with butterfly - if the mechanism is to be mounted to the wall or ceiling;

- PVC hook - for non-invasive mounting on window sash.

The number of grommets depends on the width of the mechanism. The standard is:

50 cm to 100 cm - 2 grommets, 101 to 140 cm - 3 grommets, 141 cm to 160 cm - 4 grommets, 161 cm to 200 cm - 5 grommets.

We make mechanisms of any width
